TACTICAL

Pistol 1 Fundamentals

Baseline pistol shooting course that supports all other courses of fire. This course is designed for beginners to intermediate level students to learn defensive shooting techniques and handgun manipulation. Students will learn weapons safety and marksmanship. Students will be taught how to aim, grip, properly load, present to, and engage threats, and change magazines. Additionally, students will learn how to clear jams and deal with malfunctions along with up close shooting techniques. This course will help prepare students for active shooter or home invasion situations and to shoot and manipulate their firearm effectively and efficiently.


This is a 2-day course. Day 1 one is held in classroom setting where students will go over firearms manipulation, safety rules, and practice the next day’s course of fire on laser training weapons before ever stepping on the range. This portion takes 2-2.5 hours. Day 1 is optional for more advanced shooters
but highly recommended. For beginners it is mandatory for safety reasons.

 

Day 2 is 4 hours of live fire training at Extreme Tactics and Training Solutions
in Waxahachie, TX.


License to Carry Option: Any students wishing to earn their Texas License to Carry will need to complete 4 hours of classroom work and take a written test before the live fire portion the following day. The four hours of classroom time is part of the above safety portion for Day 1. Then on Day 2 they will take the shooting proficiency test for their LTC License at the end of the training day. AWC staff will go over all steps and paperwork to ensure students understand the LTC administrative process.

Rifle 1 Fundamentals

Baseline carbine rifle shooting course that supports all other rifle courses of fire. Students will learn rifle safety and marksmanship. Students will learn how to properly sight in their weapons for close quarters combat. Students will be taught how to aim, grip, properly load, present, sling, and change magazines under stressful conditions. Additionally, students will learn how to clear jams and deal with malfunctions. This course will help students become familiar with their AR platform weapon system
where they are comfortable, confident, safe, effective, and efficient in their weapons handling skills.

This is a 2-day course. Day 1 one is held in classroom setting where students will go over firearms manipulation, terminology, weapons cleaning, slinging their weapon, and safety rules. This portion also gives students a chance to bore sight their weapon system. This class takes two hours. Day 1 is optional
for more advanced or experienced shooters but is highly recommended. For beginners it is mandatory for safety reasons.

Day 2 is 4 hours of live fire training at Extreme Tactics and Training Solutions in Waxahachie, TX.

Pistol 2 Advanced

This course builds upon the fundamental pistol course and teaches students how to properly pull and present to a threat from concealed or open carry under stressful conditions. Students will learn to shoot from different shooting positions and how to shoot from barricaded positions by utilizing cover and concealment. Also, students will learn to move dynamically to shoot targets while moving to covered positions. This is a one-day course with four hours of live fire training.

Rifle 2 Advanced

This course builds upon the fundamental carbine course teaches students how to properly engage a threat under more stressful conditions. Students will learn to shoot from different shooting positions and how to shoot from barricaded positions by utilizing cover and concealment. Also, students will
learn to move dynamically to shoot targets while moving to covered positions. This is a one-day course with four hours of live fire training.

The Elite Course

This course will pick up where the Advanced Rifle and Pistol courses left off with more dynamic movement and will teach students to work in shooter pairs and small teams to takedown active shooters with forward and lateral movement while staying safe, firing effectively, and using teamwork. Also, students will learn how to properly break contact should they be overwhelmed with superior fire power. The minimum level of training for this course is the Pistol 1 and Rifle 1 courses completed with the advanced courses recommend. Additionally, students will learn to transition from rifle to pistol safely and efficiently to always have a gun up and in the fight to deal with threats.

Tactical Civilian Casualty Care

This is a basic first aid course specifically designed for active shooter and traumatic situations. Students will learn how to properly place tourniquets on themselves and each other. Additionally, students will learn how to quickly and properly assess multiple victims/patients, while stopping bleeding, securing airways, and monitor breathing on injured persons, while treating for shock. Students will learn how to move or carry injured personnel. This course will end with students learning to shoot and move while treating an injured person. This is a one-day course with 2.5 hours of classroom and 2.5 hours of live fire training. Students will leave with their own first aid trauma kit. Pistol 1 Fundamentals is
recommended before taking this course.

Home Defense Clearance Techniques

This is specifically designed for individuals that want to learn to be the complete protector, defender, and guardian of their home and family. Students will learn how to methodically clear their house with a firm understanding of their priority of threats to deal with an attacker/attackers efficiently and effectively. Additionally, students will also learn how to retain their weapons should an attacker try to disarm them. Furthermore, students will learn how to come up with a plan for themselves and their families should a home invasion occur.

Close Quarters Combat

This course is designed for military, law enforcement, security, or active shooter response teams that want to learn combat clearance techniques.  This course will cover two and four-man entries with multi-flow.  Students will be able to identify their priority of threats and work together as a team.

Land Warfare

This course will familiarize students with the basics of land warfare utilizing small unit tactics.  Students will learn basic hand and arm signals, patrolling and formations, perimeters, what to do upon contact with the enemy, how to break contact or assault through, and how to retrain.  During this course, students will walk through and dry fire before moving on to live-fire drills.  They will learn to shoot, move, and communicate in open terrain.  This is a dynamic and physically challenging course.  A gear list will be provided once students sign up.

All courses are specifically designed by Randy Rozzell utilizing his 22 years of military experiencing while serving as a U.S. Navy SEAL, Special Operations Combat Medic, Assault Leader, Combatives expert, and Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Additionally, all of these courses work synergistically with the American Warrior Combatives self-defense program.
